The Purple Curb (see map below) is in the middle lane at Columns 2B and 3B, and is designated for interstate operators. Interstate operators are allowed to pick up and drop off in the middle (B) lane at the terminal front area. Īll ground transportation providers must comply with the specific requirements of Salt Lake City Ground Transportation Ordinances and Rules and Regulations, which includes the payment of fees as shown in the AVI Rate Schedule. Operators caught operating at the airport without an AVI tag or a receipt from the kiosk at Booth 10 are subject to a citation and fines per Salt Lake City Ordinance. Once purchased, the receipt needs to be displayed, or provided when asked for by airport personnel. Operators entering the terminal area through Booth 10 must stop and purchase their pass. We currently offer a day ($50), weekly ($250), or monthly ($500) pass for out of state companies to operate at our airport if they are registered with the DOT and do not wish to have an AVI affixed to their vehicle. If you wish to purchase permits when entering the airport, please follow the instructions below for Non-AVI Operations. Walk in appointments are available, but they are not guaranteed for expedited service. Please make sure to contact our office and schedule your appointment. Our operating hours are Monday - Thursday 0800 - 1600, and Friday 0800 - 1500. You will then need to call and schedule an appointment for the vehicle to stop by our office to have an AVI affixed. If you wish to register and have an Automated Vehicle Identification (AVI) tag affixed to your vehicle, you will need to complete and submit a Registration Form, along with a copy of your DOT Motor Carrier Certificate. You may register your vehicle with the Ground Transportation Department, or you may purchase operating permits when entering the airport. Interstate operators can operate in two ways. Interstate operators registered with the Department of Transportation (DOT) exempts them from most of our city ordinances with regards to ground transportation.
